Parting with Summer
Over the sweaty crest of land
Now little are days wanting sleep
Oh temperate... temperate daughter of sea,
make haste to leave your western home, come, fall o'er
And clad me, as equated to silk over baby silk.
Change my climate and tint me blue.
Happy be my mute green fellows,
for it will come your... time far not
Oh greens cheers leap with me
Weary days are no more for us

From My Tomb on the First Night
It is from the subterranean room I reside,
from today and on todays of tomorrows.
My voice was sweet and the world told me
that,
but one will hear it nevermore.
My room is cool with droplets sprouting
down,
proclaiming the happiness of my brethren at
heaven.
The rain. Or is it the salt from the eyes
of my kin,
I know not.
I’m speaking to my little fellows,
from nearby families of Arthropod and Annelid.
They love me to the extend they love me to
eat
But they’ll spare my lips, for they say
they’ll sing for them.
